How Do You Generate and Pay a Customs PSID in Pakistan?

A customs PSID connects an import Goods Declaration with the duties, taxes or fees payable against it. Importers should review the declaration, assessed amount and payment reference carefully before completing the transaction.

Payment channels can change by collectorate or system update. Always follow the current instructions displayed for the specific declaration.

What Is a Customs PSID and When Is It Generated?

Importers searching for how to generate customs PSID should understand that the Payment Slip ID is created through the declaration workflow. It is not normally prepared manually by the importer.

Pakistan Single Window states that an authorized user completes the import Single Declaration, reviews and validates the information, checks the payment details, and saves and submits the declaration. A system-generated PSID is then displayed.

The PSID identifies the payment connected with the relevant declaration. Before using it, confirm that it relates to the correct importer, Goods Declaration and shipment.

For the complete process from filing to release, review WeBOC Goods Declaration Pakistan.

Which Assessment Details Should Be Checked Before Payment?

WeBOC PSID generation should be reviewed alongside the latest declaration and customs assessment.

Check:

  • Goods Declaration reference
  • Importer and collectorate
  • HS or PCT code
  • Customs value
  • Customs Duty and other applicable taxes
  • Payable amount
  • PSID number
  • Current declaration status

The payable amount may be affected by the accepted HS code, customs value, freight, insurance, origin, Valuation Rulings, exemptions and active SROs. A pre-shipment calculation is only an estimate.

Review customs duty calculation after GD filing before paying. Where a declaration has been amended or reassessed, confirm that the displayed PSID and amount relate to the current assessment.

How Can Importers Pay a Customs PSID?

For PSID customs payment online, importers should use the payment option currently prescribed for their declaration and collectorate.

Payment procedures can change. Pakistan Single Window has announced that, effective August 3, 2026, payments of duties, taxes and fees for Goods Declarations related to Karachi Collectorates must use 1Link’s “1Bill – Invoice” option instead of the “FBR” biller.

For declarations handled by other collectorates, follow the current payment instructions shown in the official system rather than assuming the Karachi procedure applies.

Before confirming payment:

  1. Recheck the PSID number.
  2. Confirm the assessed amount.
  3. Use the payment channel currently stated for the declaration.
  4. Save the bank receipt or transaction record.
  5. Record the payment date, amount and reference.

Do not reuse a PSID from another declaration or rely on an old screenshot of payment instructions.

How Can Payment Be Confirmed Before Cargo Release?

To check customs PSID payment status, keep the PSID, declaration reference and payment evidence available.

PSW states that activity connected with an import Single Declaration is logged in the system, allowing traders, clearing agents and other authorized users to view actions performed during processing.

If payment is not reflected, first confirm:

  • The correct PSID was used
  • The full amount was paid
  • The transaction completed successfully
  • The payment relates to the latest assessment
  • The declaration has not been amended
  • The bank receipt shows the correct reference

Do not make the same payment again until the original transaction has been checked. Review PSID payment not showing in WeBOC or PSW for further troubleshooting.

Payment confirmation does not always mean immediate cargo release. Customs examination, permit approval, carrier documents or terminal requirements may still remain.
